Privacy Policy

Rackord is designed so that we never see your data. The short version: everything you put into Rackord stays on your iPhone.There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no third-party SDKs.

Data storage

Your workouts, exercises, machine setups, notes, photos, and form-check videos are stored locally on your device. Rackord operates no servers and transmits none of your data. Your device's standard iOS backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) may include Rackord's data. Those backups are managed by Apple and your device settings, not by us.

What the app can access, and why

• Camera: only when you photograph a machine setup or record a form-check video. Everything you capture is saved into Rackord's local storage on your device.
• Microphone: only while you record a form-check video, to capture its audio. The recording stays on your device with the video.
• Photo library: only when you attach a picture from your library to an exercise or machine setup. Photos you attach are copied into Rackord's local storage on your device.
• Notifications: local notifications for rest timers and workout reminders you schedule. These are generated on-device.
• Calendar: only if you enable the optional calendar mirror, which writes your planned and finished workouts into a dedicated calendar on your device. Rackord does not read or transmit your other calendar data.

Each permission is requested only when you use the related feature, and the app works without them.

Backup, in your hands

Settings has an Export backup button that packages everything in Rackord (history, routines, machine setups, photos, and form-check videos) into a single .rackordbackup file. The file is created on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet: it goes only where you send it, whether that's your email, a chat, or your own storage. Opening the file in Rackord restores it. Rackord never creates or sends a backup on its own.

Sharing, always on your terms

Rackord never sends anything anywhere on its own. You can choose to share things yourself: a workout template as a small .rackord file, a form-check video, or a full backup, all through the standard iOS share sheet, going only to whoever you pick. Shared template files contain the template's structure only; your machine-setup photos and logged history are never included.

Analytics and tracking

None. Rackord contains no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking of any kind. This website is static and sets no cookies.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.

Changes to this policy

If Rackord ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be called out in the app.
